We offer unattended (direct) and attended burial services in a venue and graveyard of your choice (subject to availability) — churches, hotels, chapels, or a simple graveside service. Our professional fees are shown separately from Angus Council cemetery charges for full transparency.

Council Fees (Angus Council)
These charges are set by Angus Council and are additional to our professional fees. They’re reviewed annually; we’ll confirm exactly which apply.

Non-resident charges do not apply when the deceased lived most of their life in Angus, or moved out for care/medical reasons in their final five years.
FAQs & Reassurance
1. What is included in a Direct Cremation?
A Direct Cremation includes collection within 15 miles, unattended cremation at Parkgrove, a standard coffin, and the return of ashes to the family. There is no formal service or viewing.
2. Can I choose the date and time for a Direct Cremation?
No — with a Direct Cremation, Parkgrove will set the date and time. If you’d like to choose, our Simple or Bespoke funerals are better options.
3. What’s the difference between a Simple and a Bespoke Funeral?
A Simple Funeral includes all essential elements for a dignified service but no add-ons. A Bespoke Funeral gives you full choice and flexibility with additional services and options.
4. How much is the cremation fee?
The cremation fee at Parkgrove is £1,320 (reviewed annually). For Direct Cremation this is already included in the £1,390 total cost.
5. Can we view our loved one before the funeral?
Yes — viewing is included in Simple and Bespoke funerals. It is not possible with a Direct Cremation.
6. Are family cars included?
Family cars are not included in Direct or Simple packages. They can be added to Bespoke funerals if required.
7. Can we have Orders of Service?
Orders of Service are not included in Direct or Simple funerals. They can be arranged as an optional extra for Bespoke funerals.
8. Do you provide flowers?
Flowers are not included in any package but can be added to Bespoke funerals. We offer a range of arrangements that can be discussed during a funeral arrangement.
9. Can we livestream the service for friends and family?
Yes — livestreaming can be arranged as an optional extra for Bespoke funerals, allowing family and friends to join remotely.
10. What if we want something unique, like a horse-drawn hearse?
Alternative hearses and other personalised touches can be arranged as part of a Bespoke Funeral, ensuring the service reflects your wishes.
