Parkgrove Competition Held at Canmore Bowling Club

Bowlers from across the area came together at Canmore Bowling Club in Forfar for the Parkgrove Invitation Rinks, with Parkgrove providing the competition’s full £1,600 prize fund.

The competition was held on Sunday, July 26th 2026 and brought together invited rinks for a full day of competitive bowling at the Canmore.

Parkgrove was pleased to support the event for another year, helping Canmore Bowling Club offer a substantial prize fund and deliver an enjoyable competition for players and visitors.

Congratulations to Parkview Bowling Club

Following a strong day of bowling, Parkview Bowling Club from Brechin were named the winners of the 2026 Parkgrove Invitation Rinks.

The Parkview rink produced the performances needed to come through a competitive field and were worthy winners on the day.

Chris Simpson from Parkgrove Funeral Directors attended the event and had the pleasure of presenting the prizes at the conclusion of the competition.

A successful day at the Canmore

The competition ran smoothly throughout the day, with the participating teams helping to keep the matches on schedule while maintaining a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere.

Events of this size depend on a considerable amount of work behind the scenes. From preparing the green and facilities to running the kitchen, bar and raffle, members of Canmore Bowling Club worked throughout the event to ensure players and visitors were well looked after.
